Darkness. Gen. 1:2-3:
"And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said let there be light and there was light."
Darkness is spoken of as encompassing the actual presence of God. (God is light) opposite God is darkness. This
darkness can be called Ignorance, or unbelief, or deadness to God, along with natural darkness.
The deep it seems to me represents, the things, which are at this that time not yet revealed. And truly with out revelation from God,
nothing of the things of God would be revealed, and would stay deep to us forever. The deep would also be hiding all blessings and
judgments whether natural or spiritual, which were to come. It contained all dangers in disobeying, and the knowledge of God himself. It
possessed the teaching of the Law, and Grace. It possessed the knowledge of all the deep things of God. And all the depth of hell; (how
little we have come to understand.) God created the heaven and earth under darkness'
The darkness desired to take over the creation of God, but when God said let there be light, he foiled the hope of the power of darkness,
and took unto him his great power and doeth reign. Moreover he hath called us out of the (deep) darkness, into his marvelous light.
Following the pattern he established in the beginning. (Ye were darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord.) And as the Spirit of the
Lord, (Word) moved upon the face of the waters, so the Spirit of the Lord moved upon the face of our Souls and his Light shined into our
hearts. Begetting his people unto himself. And this light shines brighter and brighter unto a perfect day. While the deep remains the deep
to those who love not God: how void all things are to them. Yet this deep is so impressive to us that we desire to understand it more and
more. The Spirit searcheth all things, yea the deep things of God. And reveals them to us. And by the same motives we desire to do his
will. And we by the Grace of God shall at last be like him and be satisfied. Poorly written, Brother Eye
