A Prayer of Thanks

Morning Rays

Psalms 30:5
"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning "

Oh God, as I sit here looking from my window,
The things my eyes see fill my heart with splendor.

Oh God, suppose I could not see the budding of an apple tree,
Or a bird flying gracefully through the air, and all the wonders we all share.

Oh God, each day we use our sight from morning until darkest night.
At times we all forget to say thank thee oh God,

And to thee I do pray, that you will keep me thankful everyday
Most thankful for the special gift of "my eyes" that I may see the stars in the skies

For this gift, I do pray and thank you again to see another beautiful day.

Amen
