Laid by Jehovah's mighty hands,
Zion's foundation firmly stands;
Raised upon Christ, the corner-stone,
Secure as God's eternal throne.

See how the glorious fabric grows,
Framed of materials that He chose;
Each stone prepared and fitly set,
The royal structure to complete.

Still shall this edifice arise,
Till all shall reach the lofty skies,
And joyful hosts shall praise above
Jehovah's grace and Jesus' love.
