            The fall of man
Evidently most religious societies reject the
biblical teachings concerning the fall of man; they must believe that
he was only injured by his fall but still able to do good works.
 I
come to that conclusion because they teach that man in his fallen
state somehow can perform the good works that they say is required
for them to become a born again child of God Of
course scripture will not support that false doctrine. The truth is
that by Adam's disobedience, sin and death entered into the world.
He and all his posterity were separated from God and in a state of
being dead in their sins. Without a savior they stay in that
condition, being justly condemned to everlasting punishment. "Wherefore,
as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so
death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." Romans
            5:12 Paul
told the Saints and faithful in Christ Jesus at Ephesus: "And you
hath He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins."
            Ephesians 2:1
Being quickened is the only way anyone gets out of their fallen
state. It is by the work of one man, Christ Jesus. Not by the help
of the sinner or preacher, or mother, or father nor anyone else but
it is according to God's purpose and grace, which was given us in
Christ Jesus before the world began. (See 2 Timothy 1:9)
Scripture clearly states that one man got us into our fallen state
and only one man can get us out if it.
"For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so
by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."
            Romans 5:19 Elder Claude McKee
