Quill Pin Selected Scripture

Bad Language

"But let your communication be Yea, Yea: Nay, nay: For whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil."

The language used by many in the world is offensive to the God fearing person. It shows a lack of confidence and ignorance in those who blatantly use bad language.

A young person will inevitably take up some bad language during their early life but for it to continue into adulthood with disregard for mixed company and no restraint shown in the use of sexual explicit words reveals a persons lack of understanding of how their speech influences young minds and leaves a bad image for others to remember them by.

God's children are instructed to refrain from filthy talking. "but now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth."  Colossians 3:8

It is not a coincident that bad language is mentioned in this verse along with other bad character traits.
